Egypt, from the river to the afterlife

We will begin with the river and follow objects used close to everyday life into temples and funerary beliefs. A cup with a name, a jar with traces of beer and a small game board will give us things we can recognise before we look at what people hoped to preserve after death. Use an open museum entrance and pass security if you are still outside. Start in the Hall Napoléon, under the Pyramid, clear of queues. Find the Sully signs. From there we will reach the Great Sphinx and the Egyptian galleries. Ask staff for the open approach if a passage is closed.
