Coloane Village

Coloane Village is a compact waterfront settlement at Macau’s southern end. Its pier, lanes and Chapel of St. Francis Xavier make a short walk with a distinct pace from Cotai.

Coloane Village

Why go

This is the place to see Coloane at street level rather than only as a beach destination. Walk from the pier through the village lanes toward the chapel and seafront. The patterned square, waterfront and nearby religious landmarks give the walk several concrete pauses without needing a long attraction list.

What to look for

  • Coloane Pier opens onto the waterfront.
  • The Chapel of St. Francis Xavier stands near the village square.
  • Patterned paving and narrow lanes distinguish the village centre.

Useful to know

  • Begin at Coloane Pier and continue through the lanes to the chapel and waterfront.
  • Combine the village with Hác-Sá or Cheoc Van only if you have time for a wider Coloane outing.
