See the historic border gate at Macau’s northern edge while understanding that today’s busy passenger border crossing functions around it.
Why go
The preserved gate marks an older boundary between Macau and mainland China. Its monument value is separate from the modern passenger terminal and bus interchange nearby, which can be crowded and operationally complex. Make this a short exterior stop if you are already in the northern peninsula, rather than crossing the border merely to inspect it.
