Why go
The broad bay gives more room for beach time than Malta's many small coves. Its shallow nearshore water contrasts with the rocky swimming places found elsewhere on the islands. The surrounding landmarks, including the Red Tower and Mellieħa's sanctuary, make the beach easy to place within a wider northern Malta visit.
