Why go
The basilica grew around an older chapel associated with devotion to Our Lady of Ta' Pinu. The shrine's history includes the reported experience of Karmni Grima in 1883 and the later construction of a much larger church. Its rural setting makes the scale of the building especially noticeable from the approach.
