The central court gives the Arms and Armor galleries a recognizable gathering space. Use Gallery 371 as a room reference, then follow the numbers into the surrounding displays. Look from a complete suit to the overlapping plates at a knee or elbow. They had to let the wearer move.
The Armor of Henry II in this guide is in Gallery 374. Its engraved and gilded surface carries small mythological scenes and the king’s crescent-moon badge.
