National Museum of Anthropology
Choose a few collections in Mexico's major anthropology museum, where archaeology and living cultures demand more attention than a quick circuit can provide.
The museum is a strong first encounter with the diversity of Mexico's Indigenous histories and cultures. Monumental sculpture, everyday objects and ethnographic displays reward different kinds of looking. Its scale is the main planning constraint: selecting a few rooms gives the objects space to register and leaves energy for the rest of Chapultepec.
