Puebla Zócalo
Pause in Puebla's main square for gardens, arcades and views of the cathedral, a flexible public-space stop between more concentrated visits to museums and churches.
The Zócalo is a useful place to understand how Puebla's civic and religious buildings relate to one another. The square gives you enough distance to read the cathedral's scale, while the arcades frame everyday activity around the edges. A short circuit also provides an unhurried break from interiors and close architectural detail.
