Why go

This route is for visitors who prefer a contemporary waterfront walk with gardens and a few unusual enclosed spaces. Begin at Larvotto Beach for the open shoreline, then pass through the Japanese Garden into Mareterra’s planted paths. Treat the Blue Cave and meditation space as optional short detours, and continue through the district if you skip them. Finish at Port du Petit Portier, where the new neighborhood meets the water. Most of the route is outdoors, so daylight and fair weather improve the experience. Allow a relaxed pace for the gardens rather than trying to turn it into a beach day.
