Monaco Grand Prix
The Monaco Grand Prix turns ordinary streets around Monte Carlo and Port Hercule into a Formula One circuit. Its narrow corners, steep changes in level and tunnel define the race.
Even away from race weekend, the street layout explains why Monaco rewards precision over open-track speed. Follow the circuit landmarks from the start line near Sainte-Dévote toward the harbour, Casino Square and the Fairmont Hairpin to see how closely the course fits the city.
What to look for
The course threads through Monte Carlo and La Condamine rather than a permanent race venue.
The tunnel interrupts an otherwise open street circuit.
The Fairmont Hairpin shows the tight turning space drivers must negotiate.
Useful to know
For a street-level look, compare the start line, Port Hercule and Fairmont Hairpin on an ordinary day.
Check the official event calendar before planning around race access or road restrictions.
