Why go
This compact downtown route suits travelers who want to see how Yangon’s religious, civic and everyday spaces sit side by side. Begin at Sule Pagoda, then look at City Hall and the red-brick High Court from the park area. Continue to the former Ministers’ Building at the Secretariat and the nearby cathedral before turning toward the railway station. The station adds a working transport landmark to the architectural sequence; the covered market gives the walk a slower finish. Most stops are close together, but the Secretariat and market deserve more time than the quick exterior views. Check current access before entering any building.
