Ngwe Saung Beach
Ngwe Saung is a long beach west of Pathein on Myanmar’s Bay of Bengal coast. Its main appeal is space for an extended shoreline walk and a coastal stay.
Why go
The beach stretches along the Ayeyarwady coast, making the shoreline itself the reason to come. It offers a different pace from nearby Pathein's river port and workshops. Walk the sand, allow time for the changing light, and check current lodging, transport and local conditions before building a coast trip around it.
What to look for
A long sweep of sand follows the Bay of Bengal shoreline.
The coast lies west of Pathein and its river delta.
Useful to know
Check current access and accommodation directly before planning a stay.
Leave room in the plan for coastal weather, especially during the monsoon.
