Botahtaung Pagoda
Botahtaung Pagoda is a Buddhist landmark close to the Yangon River. Its riverside setting and shrine compound make it a different stop from the city’s hilltop pagodas.
The site connects worship with the working waterfront at the southeast edge of downtown Yangon. The tourism ministry lists Botahtaung among the city’s significant pagodas, and its mapped location sits near the river. Give the shrine time before or after a riverside walk, but verify current entry and approach conditions independently.
