Inya Lake
Inya Lake is Yangon’s large northern urban lake, bordered by roads and pockets of public shoreline. A short walk gives a quieter outdoor interval within the city.
This lake offers a different scale and setting from Kandawgyi, several miles north of downtown. Choose a public lakeside section for a walk and watch everyday recreation along the water. The tourism ministry identifies Inya Lake among Yangon’s green spaces; the mapped coordinate marks the lake itself, so verify a specific accessible shore entrance locally.
What to look for
Walk a public shore segment.
See Yangon’s northern lake landscape and everyday recreation.
Useful to know
Select and verify a public shoreline access point; much of the lake edge is not public.
Plan the walk for cooler, drier conditions.
