Why go
This route suits visitors who want villas, gardens and shoreline views and are comfortable with a sustained walk. Piazza dei Martiri sets the Chiaia context before Villa Pignatelli provides an indoor visit. Continue through Villa Comunale to Lungomare Caracciolo, allowing time to enjoy the long promenade rather than rushing it. These stops form the main route. Fontana del Sebeto and the exterior of Palazzo Donn’Anna are optional extensions farther west, where the walk becomes longer and the focus shifts to looking across the water. Choose that final stretch when the weather and your energy suit it.
