Why go
This is a downtown walk for visitors who notice the character of buildings as much as the exhibits inside them. Union Station gives the route a grand railway beginning, while the Frist Art Museum adds a substantial indoor stop in another adapted historic building. The Main Library and Nashville Arcade shift the focus to civic and commercial spaces. End outside the courthouse, where the public square opens the walk back to the city. The route is compact, with several short stops that can be taken at a relaxed pace. Treat exterior views as the default where public access is uncertain, and check the Frist’s current exhibition details if that visit is your priority.
