The visit begins with Claude’s imagined harbour, moves through British landscapes and scenes of modern French life, then follows changes in colour and brushwork to Rousseau’s storm. It ends in Room 45.
Choose it for comparisons of colour, light and brushwork across a larger set of landscapes and scenes of modern life. Ten stops and the room transfers make this a longer visit. Allow 100–135 minutes, with time for a break.
