The Roden Centre brings practical art-making and learning into the Gallery. Its entrance is on Orange Street, away from the main arrival on Trafalgar Square. Learning spaces occupy several floors, with activities for schools, families and other visitors. Use the centre’s programme to choose an activity and the correct arrival time. Term-time weekdays include booked school use, while family drop-in sessions take place at weekends and during school holidays. These studios have a different pattern of use from the painting galleries. For a visit focused on the collection, start at the Sainsbury Wing unless your booking gives another entrance.
Before you arrive

Families can drop in at weekends and during school holidays from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Friday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm. Use the Orange Street entrance.
