Room 13 is a useful reference when moving between Mantegna’s gallery in Room 12 and Central Hall on Level 2. Follow the floor signs for the stair or lift when you want to reach the ground-floor facilities.
The Room 13 stair area also offers a reason to pause. Rosa Bonheur’s The Horse Fair hangs above the stairwell, bringing the movement of horses into a busy part of the building. Choose a place on the landing that lets other visitors pass while you look.
