Daylight through the clear glazing helps connect this foyer with the square outside. The Sainsbury Wing reopened in 2025 after a redesign by Selldorf Architects with Purcell. Larger openings and double-height areas changed the way visitors arrive and move through the building.
You are on Level 0. Information and tickets, the shop, Bar Giorgio and accessible toilets are here. The main stair and a separate lift take visitors to the collection on Level 2. Pause to choose a visit before heading upstairs. You can return to the foyer for a break without trying to see the whole collection in one stretch.
