Patan Durbar Square
Patan's palace square concentrates Newar craftsmanship around courtyards, temples and museum entrances. The outdoor square circuit excludes Patan Museum interiors.
Carved palace windows and tiered temples face each other across the square, giving a concentrated view of Newar craft and civic architecture. The open-air circuit helps orient later stops in Patan's lanes. Patan Museum occupies part of this setting but deserves separate gallery time; keep the square visit focused on what can be seen outside.
