Why go
This route is for visitors who want a quieter side of Nice, with gardens and museums instead of the busiest waterfront streets. Parc Phoenix and the nearby Musée départemental des Arts Asiatiques make an easy opening pair. Continue uphill to the Jardin Botanique de Nice for Mediterranean planting and a view across western Nice. The last two stops shift to art: the Jakovsky museum’s naïve works and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in its Belle Époque setting. Allow time for the walks between the airport-side park, the botanical garden and the two art museums. If energy is limited, treat the Asian Arts museum as the shorter optional visit.
