Train connections from Nice
Rail links Nice with coastal towns, long-distance French destinations and an inland route through the Var valley. Choose the service by destination: a Riviera hop and a journey into Upper Provence are different trips.
Why go
The coastal TER is useful for town-to-town travel toward Cannes, Monaco and Ventimiglia across the Italian border. National trains serve longer journeys, including connections toward Marseille and Paris. For a different landscape, the Chemins de fer de Provence heads inland through the Var valley toward Digne from its own Nice station. Confirm the departure station and current service before setting out.
Useful to know
Use the coastal TER for a Riviera town trip; check the current stops and return trains before departure.
For the inland Chemins de fer de Provence, check its separate Nice station rather than assuming departure from Nice-Ville.
