Église Sainte-Jeanne d’Arc

Look up at the church’s white domes and sharply angled bell tower for a striking change from Nice’s older religious buildings.

Église Sainte-Jeanne d’Arc

Why go

Jacques Droz’s twentieth-century church uses reinforced concrete to create curves and volume that differ sharply from the city’s Baroque churches. The three domes play against a tall angular bell tower, making the exterior rewarding even when interior access is uncertain. If open, the painted interior adds another visual language.

What to look for

  • Three white domes above the church.
  • Angular 65-metre bell tower.
  • Curved forms set against the tower’s straight lines.

Useful to know

  • Plan an exterior look without depending on entry.
  • Check current church access if you want to see the interior paintings.
