Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur: Nice Site
Visit the Mont Gros observatory for its historic dome and city panorama when a public visit is available; access is arranged around events or tours.
Why go
The observatory links astronomy with two major nineteenth-century designers: Charles Garnier worked on the architecture and Gustave Eiffel designed the main dome. Its position on Mont Gros also gives the site a broad view over Nice. This is a planned visit rather than a casual drop-in.

Useful to know
Check the observatory’s current visit programme before traveling to Mont Gros.
