Why go
The path lets you read the city's changing shoreline at your own pace: towers rise on one side and the Pacific bay opens on the other. It is useful both as a purposeful walk and as a connector to the seafood market and historic center. Choose a shorter segment if heat or sun makes the full route uncomfortable.
What to look for
- A long waterfront path below the skyline
- Walking and cycling lanes link the modern bayfront with the Casco approach and views across the bay.
Useful to know
- The exposed bayfront can feel hot; pick a shorter segment when the sun is strong.
