Nahuel Huapi National Park
Nahuel Huapi National Park covers a broad lake and mountain landscape around Bariloche and toward Villa La Angostura. Choose a specific shore, trail or viewpoint; the park itself is far too large for one stop.

The park is a useful frame for the Argentine Lake District's forests, glacial lakes and mountains. Bariloche serves one side and Villa La Angostura another; their approaches offer different outings. Decide on an actual access point before setting out, especially when combining lake shores with higher terrain.
What to look for
Lake Nahuel Huapi is one of several glacial lakes in the park.
Wooded western slopes contrast with drier country toward the east.
Cerro Tronador and Cerro Catedral identify different mountain areas.
Useful to know
Base a day on a named shore, trail or viewpoint reached from Bariloche or Villa La Angostura.
Treat Cerro Tronador and Cerro Catedral as separate mountain outings, not one park walk.
