Perito Moreno: town walks
Perito Moreno is a small Santa Cruz town near Lago Buenos Aires, with a Paseo Histórico and Laguna de los Cisnes for a local pause. It is a base for Cueva de las Manos, not the distant glacier.

The town walk and lagoon offer a grounded stop between longer Santa Cruz road legs. Ranching and smallholdings still shape the area. Perito Moreno also has a layered naming history, from the Tehuelche name Pari-Aike to its later dedication to explorer Francisco Moreno.
What to look for
Paseo Histórico gives the town a named walking focus.
Laguna de los Cisnes offers a second, nature-oriented stop.
Useful to know
Use the town attractions as separate stops before or after the much longer Cueva de las Manos trip.
Check any museum entry time individually; a townwide timetable does not apply.
