El Bosque Tallado sculpture forest

Why go

Local and visiting artists carved the standing lenga trunks after a forest fire, leaving about sixty works on Piltriquitrón’s slope. Walking among them connects art with the damaged woodland itself. The climb from the mountain parking area is substantial, so the sculpture circuit deserves its own block rather than a brief roadside label.

Useful to know

• Allow about 180 minutes from the Piltriquitrón parking area for the uphill walk, sculptures, and return.
• The 13 km road from El Bolsón includes gravel. Allow roughly 40–60 minutes each way for the uphill walk; check current access before leaving.
