Mirador Cerro Torre trail viewpoint

Mirador del Torre is the shorter objective on the trail toward Laguna Torre. It offers a mountain panorama without committing to the full lagoon hike.

Why go

The viewpoint looks into the Fitz Roy River valley toward Cerro Torre, the Adela chain, and nearby granite spires. Woodland and river scenery form the approach before the panorama opens. Turn around at the signed mirador if the long route to Laguna Torre is beyond the day’s plan.

Useful to know

  • Allow about 210 minutes for the full return hike from El Chaltén to Mirador del Torre.
  • Buy the paid national-park entry ticket online before starting. The route has two signed town trailheads that join shortly after departure.
