Getting to know Pattaya
Pattaya is a resort city on the eastern Gulf of Thailand in Chonburi. Its beach districts and inland streets form one urban destination with several distinct bases for a stay.
Why go
Start with the coast to make sense of the city. Pattaya Beach fronts the central district; Naklua continues north, while Pratamnak Hill divides the bay from Jomtien to the south. The surrounding Eastern Seaboard also includes Si Racha and Laem Chabang, so Pattaya can serve as a base for a wider Chonburi trip.
