Why go
The city puts very different outings within reach: walk Pattaya Beach and its streets, look across the bay from Pratamnak Hill, or head north to the carved wooden Sanctuary of Truth. Jomtien offers a broader beach south of the headland. Pattaya works best when you choose a district first, then plan trips around it.
What to look for
- Pattaya Beach runs beside the city's main seaside road and dense commercial centre.
- Pratamnak Hill separates Pattaya Bay from Jomtien Beach to the south.
- Naklua lies north of the central beachfront and leads towards the Sanctuary of Truth.
Useful to know
- Use Beach Road, Second Road and the three main cross streets to orient yourself in central Pattaya.
- Treat Jomtien and Naklua as separate outings rather than extensions of a short beachfront walk.
