Center City West
Center City West brings together the Parkway museums, Rittenhouse's residential grid and the civic core around City Hall. It works best for travelers seeking a compact district where major institutions sit among busy working streets.
Why go
Plan Center City West around a compact district where major institutions sit among busy working streets. Its defining thread is the Parkway museums, Rittenhouse's residential grid and the civic core around City Hall. Logan Square opens the Parkway's long museum axis. Divide the area into a Parkway block and a Rittenhouse block.
What to look for
Logan Square opens the Parkway's long museum axis.
Side streets near Rittenhouse shift quickly to brownstones, shops and small parks.
Useful to know
Divide the area into a Parkway block and a Rittenhouse block.
Use the subway or buses when crossing it in poor weather.
