Karon Viewpoint
This roadside lookout compresses Phuket's west coast into three curved bays, delivering a high visual return for a short stop but attracting tour traffic.
Choose it for Phuket's most legible coastal panorama: Kata Noi, Kata and Karon line up in a single northward view, with Ko Pu offshore and green headlands separating the beaches. Very few stops explain the island's west-coast geography so quickly.
What to look for
Three successive crescents of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon
Ko Pu offshore from Kata Bay
Forest-covered headlands dividing the beaches
Useful to know
Visibility is the point, so skip or shorten the stop in heavy rain or haze.
Use the designated pull-off and watch for vehicles around the parking area.
