The arrival choice affects where you finish the journey. Highway 307 links Cancún with Playa del Carmen, while the downtown bus station sits near Avenida Juárez and Quinta Avenida. If you are coming from Cozumel, the ferry lands at the southern end of the town centre, close to the same area.

Compare the airport bus with a direct transfer before leaving; check the current departure point and timetable with the operator.
For an onward bus, check which Playa del Carmen terminal appears on your ticket before planning the final walk or taxi ride.
