Why go
This is a gentler Old San Juan route for visitors who prefer interpretation and interiors when showers threaten. Museo de las Américas gives the day a broad cultural opening, while Casa Blanca narrows the focus to a historic home and its grounds. The cathedral brings the story back into the living city. The walks between buildings are short but remain outdoors, and the garden at Casa Blanca may be less appealing in heavy rain. Plaza de Armas is an optional open-air finish rather than a condition of completing the route. Check each venue's current access before setting out and allow time to linger inside.
