Why go
Ponce's main square makes an easy starting point for a city-focused day. Plaza Las Delicias, the unmistakable former firehouse and the cathedral form a compact architectural group, so you can spend more time looking than moving. The square and firehouse exterior remain worthwhile even if interior access changes; check entry separately. Cruceta del Vigía is an optional second act for travelers who want to see the grid and coast from above. Reaching it adds a sustained uphill walk, so the three central stops make a complete route on their own. Plan shade and water for the exposed portions.
