Playuela Beach
Playuela, also called Playa Sucia, lies below the Cabo Rojo lighthouse cliffs. Its crescent of sand sits beneath the same limestone headland that carries Los Morrillos Lighthouse.
Why go
The beach and cliff backdrop reward a combined stop with Los Morrillos rather than a drive to the sand alone. The position below the cliffs gives this beach a stronger sense of place than an isolated swim stop. Looking back from the sand toward the headland ties the two sights together and makes the route feel like one landscape experience.
