First Bathing Beach
A broad sandy beach along Huiquan Bay gives an old-town day a clear change of pace. Enjoy the shoreline independently of any seasonal swimming arrangements.
The bay setting explains why this became an early public bathing place in Qingdao. The sand, surrounding hills and coastal promenade make it worthwhile even if you stay out of the water. Allow time to follow the curve of the shore and look back toward the buildings above it.
