Qingdao Customs Museum
The Customs Museum occupies the historic custom house on Xinjiang Road. Its displays examine the port’s customs administration and the wider history of customs in Shandong, giving a specific institutional perspective on Qingdao’s development as a trading city.
Visit when an arranged opening is confirmed to explore a less familiar side of the port’s history. The museum brings customs records, objects and interpretation into the building where that work once took place. Public access has been offered through announced programmes, including the 2026 shipping week. A regular walk-in timetable is not established here, so secure a confirmed visit before making the trip.
