Zhanqiao Pier
The pier projects into Qingdao Bay toward Huilan Pavilion, making the old city’s relationship with the water unusually easy to see. Its long, narrow approach gives the waterfront a different perspective with each step.
Walk out along the pier to read the shoreline from the sea. The octagonal pavilion is the visual focus, while the return view brings the old waterfront together. This is a compact landmark visit with a strong sense of place, especially when you pause to compare the working city behind you with the open bay ahead.
