Purling Brook Falls has a sense of scale that changes as the forest opens onto the gorge. The circuit reveals the water from elevated viewpoints and again from below, where the cliff and rainforest feel markedly different. Open eucalypt forest, wet gorge vegetation and the waterfall’s long drop give the circuit distinct woodland and waterfall scenes.

What to look for

• The formed circuit reaches designated views above and below the falls.
• The route descends through forest before climbing back to the picnic area.

• Walk clockwise on the formed track; avoid all restricted waterfall areas.
