Charaki (Haraki)
Charaki is a small fishing settlement around an east-coast bay. The harbour and waterfront make an easy village visit, with Feraklos Castle above as a separate stop.
Fishing boats and waterfront tavernas give Charaki a compact coastal focus. Above the bay, Feraklos Castle adds a different perspective on the area’s history and setting; make a separate plan for the hilltop rather than folding it into a simple harbour walk.
What to look for
Fishing boats gather around the small harbour.
Tavernas face the waterfront along the bay.
Feraklos Castle stands on the hill above Charaki.
Useful to know
Keep a harbour visit and a possible castle visit as separate parts of the outing.
Check the castle’s own access conditions before planning to go up.
