What to See and Do on Rhodes
Rhodes combines a walled medieval city, ancient ruins, hilltop castles, beaches and inland nature. The most satisfying choice is usually a small group of related stops, not a circuit of the whole island.
See the Old Town walls and walk its lanes in Rhodes city for the Knights' era, then use the Archaeological Museum for an older layer of the island's story. Lindos and ancient Kameiros bring different ancient landscapes; Monolithos adds a castle above the west coast. Butterfly Valley and Seven Springs shift the focus to wooded terrain.
Useful to know
Pair the Old Town with the Archaeological Museum for a compact city visit.
Set aside a separate outing for Lindos, Kameiros or Monolithos rather than treating them as adjacent stops.
For Prasonisi, check current access and conditions around the sandbar; do not assume it is safe to drive across.
