Why go
Begin at Cenote Azul (Puerto Aventuras) while the water is quieter, then move to nearby Cenote Jardín del Edén (Ponderosa) for a second freshwater setting rather than treating the two cenotes as interchangeable. Continue by vehicle to Playa Xpu-Há for an unhurried beach visit. The route allows time to change, dry off and enter each site, and it avoids walking along Highway 307. Bring reef-safe sun protection and cash or a payment backup because access arrangements can change. Check each cenote’s opening conditions and the beach access point on the day of travel.
