Trams Through the Centre
Rotterdam’s trams provide street-level connections through central districts, useful for shorter hops between stations, shops, riverfront areas and cultural stops without moving underground.
Why go
A tram can be the right middle ground between walking and the metro. It keeps you close to the streets while connecting central landmarks, shopping areas and neighbourhood edges. Choose it for a direct short journey or when you would rather see the city unfold at street level; use the metro instead when time matters more than the view.

Check the current route and ticket conditions with the operator, especially outside the central area.
Take care around tram tracks when walking or cycling near stops.
