Euromast
Hugh Maaskant’s observation tower rises above Het Park, pairing wide Rotterdam views with a clear statement of post-war engineering confidence.
Why go
Euromast offers a direct elevated reading of Rotterdam's river, port and rebuilt skyline. Maaskant designed the concrete tower for the 1960 Floriade, placing its crow's-nest platform 96 metres above ground. The Space Tower added in 1970 extended the structure by another 85 metres, making the ascent a compact lesson in the city's vertical ambitions.
