Nizhny Novgorod Fair
See the historic fair building to connect the city with its merchant past. The defined visit is the exterior; exhibitions inside depend on current events.
The fair moved to Nizhny Novgorod in the nineteenth century and became an important trading meeting point. The surviving main building now belongs to a modern exhibition complex, so today's visit differs from the historic market described in older accounts. Looking at the architecture still gives a concrete link to the commercial history of the river city.
