Why go
This route suits travelers who want Utah history alongside an easy outdoor break. Look around the Capitol’s public spaces and architecture, then give the Museum of Utah enough time for its state history exhibits. Memory Grove changes the pace with a walk among memorials at the mouth of City Creek Canyon. The Cathedral of the Madeleine closes the circuit with a very different interior and a view of the city’s religious and architectural range. The downhill and cross-town walks are manageable, but allow extra time on wet paths and check the cathedral’s access around services.
