Carballeira de San Lourenzo
Enter the oak grove at San Lourenzo for a shaded walk beside the Sarela and the former convent. Mature oaks create a distinctive riverside atmosphere.
Why go
The convent was established by the river in the twelfth century and later became a palace. The grove remains a distinct wooded setting on Santiago’s western edge. It is best combined with the Sarela path when conditions make riverside walking comfortable.
